Our Boatyard # NINE Cottage, is uniquely suited to longer stays, as the Cottage is self-contained with private outdoor spaces, separate outside entry, well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area, and safe Beach and Marina walking areas nearby. Our smart TV with Xfinity cable and 1 gig (superfast) Internet service, provides reliable computer access. Be our guest for a week and never encounter anyone else—unless you want to! 

Directions

Whidbey Island is located on Puget Sound. which is roughly 40 miles long, starting from its southern tip at Clinton, Washington Whidbey Island is about 40 miles north of Seattle), and varies from one to two miles in width.


You may choose to drive to our Inn and enjoy a ferry ride across Puget Sound. But note that we are also accessible by private boat, with moorage available in the adjacent public marina. Boaters seeking moorage at the Langley Marina can book at: www.portofsouthwhidbey.com. 


Another faster mode of arriving on Whidbey, is to charter a Float plane from Kenmore Air and land on Langley’s beach in our Marina. Check out www.kenmoreair.com.




Driving Directions:


WSDOT, the Washington State Department of Transportation website, has all the information you'll need regarding ferry rates and schedules. 



From Interstate 5 North or South via the Mukilteo Ferry


   - (North or South), take SR526 to Mukilteo.

   - From there, take the Mukilteo  Ferry to Clinton.

   - Drive 2.8 miles on SR525 just past Ken's Corner Shopping Plaza to Langley Road.

   - Turn right and drive another 3.2 miles to Langley By the Sea.

   - Turn right at the first stop sign at Cascade Avenue.

   - Turn right again at the library at 2nd and Wharf Street.

   - Head down the hill to the waterfront.

To bypass the Ferry, you may want to consider the scenic Deception Pass route shown below, saving time even though the distance is greater. Check the ferry cameras for estimated wait times. www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/vesselwatch/CameraDetail.aspx




From Seattle/South via the Deception Pass Bridge


   - Take I-5 North to Burlington.

   - Take Highway 20 West and follow it approximately 15 minutes to the sign that says "Whidbey Island Next Left."

   - Take the Whidbey Island turn, continuing on Highway 20 South to the Deception Pass Bridge.

   - After crossing the bridge, follow Highway 20 through Oak Harbor. Follow signs to Langley.




From Vancouver/North via Deception Pass Bridge


   - From Vancouver take Highway 99 South to the border at Blaine.

   - From Blaine follow I05 South to Burlington. Take Highway 20 West (Exit #230) and follow it approximately 15 minutes to the sign that says "Whidbey Island Next Left."

   - Take the Whidbey Island turn, continuing on Highway 20 South to the Deception Pass Bridge.

   - After crossing the bridge, follow Highway 20 through Oak Harbor. Follow signs to Langley.




From Olympic Peninsula and Port Townsend via the Coupeville Ferry


   - From Port Townsend, take the ferry to Coupeville / Keystone.

   - From the Coupeville ferry terminal, turn left and follow Engle Road to Coupeville.

   - Follow signs to Langley.
